Ideas competition: Stop climate change and win an annual scholarship

Are you concerned with topics such as climate protection, sustainability and resources? Do you want to develop ideas that contribute to climate protection or do you already have an idea of ​​how you can do something about climate change? Then the “Impact Academy Climate” could be interesting for you.

What is the Impact Academy Climate?

The “Impact Academy Climate” is an ideas competition that will take place this fall/winter at eight universities in Germany. Important: You must be enrolled at one of the eight participating universities/FHs in order to take part. Participation is free. In order to receive funding of EUR 9,000 for your idea, two steps are necessary.

Step 1: Workshop phase

The Impact Academy Climate offers free workshops to help you get the best business model out of your climate protection idea. In the half-day “Ideation Workshop” you will develop ideas for climate protection and learn about brainstorming methods from design thinking . And if you want to go further, you can attend the subsequent “Business Development Workshop” on the same day and flesh out your guiding principles and find the right business model.

Step 2: Apply to the ideas competition

After the workshops, you have the opportunity to apply for the final pitch night in Berlin with your climate protection idea. Even if the model you create is not yet perfect, there is a good chance of being funded. The jury invites the top five most climate-relevant and innovative entries to Berlin. From then on, it's just a stone's throw to one-year funding for your climate start-up!
