DIY blogs: Attention craft lovers

DIY blogs: Attention craft lovers

Today we would like to introduce you to 4 lovingly designed creative blogs. Here you will find great tips on how you can make great gifts from old or inexpensive items using simple steps. There is nothing nicer than putting home-made gifts under the tree that you have individually designed with a lot of love :)

1. Ms. Love

On the “Frau Liebe” blog you can find pretty much everything you can do with two hands. For example, she shows what you can do with old clothes hangers and strips of fabric.

This is what you need:

  • Clothes hangers - wire, wood, plastic - anything works
  • Strips of fabric that are approximately 1.5 cm wide
  • Textile glue
  • Rubber rings

Now cut off 2 short strips of fabric and wrap them tightly at the ends of the hanger with rubber rings. Put a small dab of glue on the edges of the fabric and then start wrapping the long strips of fabric around the hanger. Every now and then a small blob of glue is placed on the fabric to ensure that everything stays in place. When you get to the end, just glue it firmly and you're done :)

2. DIY I do this myself!

Make a pretty feather necklace, a Peter Pan collar, sew hearts onto your favorite sweater, or a DIY jewelry holder? -"DIY I'll do it myself!" show you how it works!

This is what you need:

  • You need a wooden clothes hanger
  • Nail polish in bright colors and approx. 10 nails
  • a hammer, a white sheet of paper and a pencil.

Place the shape of the hanger on the piece of paper and trace the shape of the hanger and draw dots for the nails. Hammer in the nails at the pre-painted points and paint with the different nail polish colors. Wait briefly until the nail polish has dried and then remove the sheet of paper and your homemade jewelry holder is ready.

3. Miss Klein

Gingerbread cake, almond vanilla snowflakes with cranberry jam and Christmas decorations. When you look at Miss Klein 's pictures, your mouth waters. In addition to her numerous baking recipes, she also shows helpful decoration tips.

This is what you need:

  • Cranberry jam with port wine for approx. 2 glasses
  • 500 gr. cranberries
  • 250 gr. preserving sugar 2:1
  • 2 organic oranges
  • 2 tbsp red port wine
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Peel the oranges thinly and squeeze them. Place cranberries in a high pot. Add the orange juice, stir in the preserving sugar, vanilla pod pulp, cinnamon stick and the orange peel and cover and let it steep for 1 hour. Then let everything cook for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove spices and orange peel, add port wine. Pour into glasses and you're done!

And the recipe for the almond vanilla snowflakes (for approx. 60 pieces):

  • 250 gr. cold butter
  • 100 gr. powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp zest of an organic orange peel
  • Mark 1 vanilla bean
  • 260 gr. flour
  • 100 gr. almonds

Knead all the ingredients into a shortcrust pastry and let it rest for about 1 hour. Then roll it out and cut out snowflakes, stars or other shapes. Then roll out and cut out snowflakes and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven at 180° degrees for 10-12 minutes. Let cool and spread with jam. And the delicious cookies are ready. Ms. Klein shows you on her blog how you can give the cookies away in beautiful packaging
