Failed, project failed, didn't get the job? It is completely normal to initially react to this with frustration and anger. But even if you don't want to believe it: failure has its advantages. This is also confirmed by statistics that answer the question: How do the Germans face failure? followed up. The answer: A total of 45.4% perceive failures as predominantly positive. There are several reasons for this, five of which we present to you.
1. You realign yourself
Have you failed the last exam again and again and are being de-registered? It sounds bad at first, yes - but maybe that's also a sign to change your orientation. Ask yourself why you messed up the exam: Maybe you didn't attend the course enough or didn't study enough? Studying has a lot to do with initiative and if you're not really interested in the subject, of course you're not committed enough. So it's best to think about it and decide on a course of study that you're passionate about and that will also make your future job fun.
2. You don't repeat a mistake twice
If you burn yourself once, don't touch the stove again - this principle can basically be applied to everything. You made a mistake? No problem, we all do them. The only important thing is that you learn from it and don't repeat it. This puts you a lot ahead of many others.
3. You can help other people
Everyone has to start small and collect their experiences along the way - so why not share them with other fellow sufferers? Be it fellow students who are struggling with the same topic or work colleagues who are still finding their way. As a helper in an emergency, you not only increase your popularity and promote a positive image that is well received by your boss, for example, but you also get a lot of good karma. As we all know, that never hurts.
4. You reinvent yourself
Don't let failures bring you down and instead rise like a phoenix from the ashes: reborn and full of energy. Because failure equips you with better judgment, makes you wiser and stronger.
5. You get a second chance
Just because you fail doesn't automatically mean that the path ends for you. On the contrary, you are offered a new turn-off! After all, failures can just as easily be viewed as new opportunities that offer you the opportunity to turn your life around or improve it. So don't worry for long and take your future into your hands!
