Health insurance for students abroad
When staying abroad outside the EU, students always need international health insurance.
Statutory health insurance companies will only reimburse any treatment costs incurred if you are traveling in a country that is part of the EU or has concluded a social security agreement with Germany. Which insurance policies still make sense abroad?
You generally do not need to take out liability insurance separately, as your existing coverage also applies abroad. If in doubt, you can ask your insurance company again. This also works if you are still insured with your parents.
