The two 23-year-olds from Freiburg, Vincent Franck and Antoine Broudeur, want to put an end to this waiting and this endless writing back and forth and have developed the app Cliq . You check in on a neutrally designed map, visible to your Facebook friends (not visible to strangers, so there is no stalking) - with the estimated time you will spend on site (check-in points are all bars, cafés, clubs listed in Google). , restaurants, lounges etc.). The friends will now see the Facebook profile picture of the checked-in person next to the respective location. And you can go there without having written anything and be sure that you will meet someone there.
So instead of writing a bunch of messages or posting in group chats, where nothing useful will most likely come out of them anyway, you simply open Cliq. Thanks to mobile data (also works without GPS), the surrounding locations are now displayed - based on the respective location - with the friends who are there (zooming out is of course also possible. Cliq not only works throughout Germany, but all over the world) .

Another advantage: In foreign cities, the app can show you the fastest route from your current location to your desired bar or disco. It is also possible to schedule your check-in in advance at a desired time, for example if the evening plans are completed early. Check-in then takes place automatically at the selected time. This means you don't have to worry all the time about having to check in on site.
