THE BIG TRIP – WILD is the film adaptation of the novel The Big Trip (English: Wild ), which is based on a true story and tells of an extraordinary adventure. After years of drifting, a heroin addiction and the end of her marriage later, Cheryl Strayed (Reese Witherspoon) goes on a trip of extremes alone. Without any hiking experience, Cheryl fights for three months almost two thousand kilometers from the US West Coast to northern Oregon.
