University out, a big break or just want to explore the university area a bit but have no idea where the best place to do it is?
Studying in Munich offers you a variety of opportunities to chill out among your peers and not even have to go far. Take a look here:
University meadow
Honestly – it doesn’t get any closer than that. One step out of the main building of the LMU and you're there: in the studying in Munich paradise. Meadow with babbling fountain – not only sounds incredibly relaxing and cozy, it is! Even in the cold seasons, the university meadow invites you to chill out.
And the best thing: you're surrounded by fellow students and are guaranteed to make connections super quickly (if you're not already with your clique anyway).
CADU – Café at the university
Studying in Munich also means: relaxing! And the best way to do this (and one of the cheapest!) is in CADU. It's not for nothing that the café is called "Café an der Uni" - you'll find this nice place right on the other side of the street from the LMU.
Tip: Be sure to treat yourself to a burger here! They are incredibly huge, incredibly tasty and really cheap! Also an ideal place for breakfast. And as you've probably already guessed: it's swarming with students! Convince yourself.
Hofgarten
Would you like a short walk to Odeonsplatz? This way you don't get rusty while studying in Munich and you can also really chill out - in a relaxed, quiet, green atmosphere and with a bunch of other students who also ended up here.
Simply bring a blanket, pack some tea in a thermos mug and enjoy a bit of nature, life and studying in Munich.
Vorhoelzer Center
For students at the Technical University of Munich: The Vorhoelzer Center is an absolute must for everyone. All! Wonderful panoramic view over the city, a delicious coffee and a panini – what more could you want in life?
And also: The center is located on the top floor of the TU faculty on Arcisstrasse. Finding someone like you really shouldn't be too difficult. Look here .
Schellingstrasse
No specific location, but that's intentional: there's just so much here that it's hard to decide or decide.
And that's not a bad thing: There is hardly anything nicer than strolling along Schellingstrasse (and the small side streets) and immersing yourself in the hustle and bustle around the LMU.
