09/19 – 10/04! THE highlight of the year - not only in the life of every Munich student, but generally around the world, Oktoberfest causes excitement and enthusiasm. Even in the furthest corners of America, people know about the superlative beer festival and everyone wants to go there to experience the boozy beer fun up close! As a Munich student, you have the spectacle right on your doorstep!

Of course, one thing cannot be denied: the traditional Munich festival is not very affordable for students. But with a few tricks you can have the time of your life without playing the broke game afterwards!
A few tips on how you can enjoy the festival:
- Eat meals at home!
- Wait half an hour after each measurement to see if there REALLY needs to be another one. Sometimes they only talk about it after the fact!
- Decide: chocolate kebab OR giant pretzel as a snack
- Try rides on family day. It costs half as much and is easy on the wallet!
- Munich students take note: Wallet saving trick number 1: It's better to talk your girlfriend out of the giant gingerbread heart in advance. It costs a lot of money and tastes much better homemade anyway...
Where can you get the cheapest beer for Munich students?
With these simple tricks, among others, you can save a lot of money. And enjoy the marquees, the fairground, the rides and snack stalls as well as the cocktail bars to your heart's content! Also look for a marquee where the size is comparatively cheap. Because: Don't forget to tip, otherwise the waitress will get angry!
