Talking about Apple products often devolves into heated discussions with Android users, sometimes feeling like you're at a Twilight fangirl convention where Team Edward fanatics meet Team Jacob advocates. There are both the loyal fans who camp in front of the Apple store for three days when new releases are released, as well as the opponents who have absolutely nothing to do with the Apple world and only swear by Android.
My first Apple experience
I count myself as an Apple World resident, but without camping. I experienced my personal Apple moment in 2009 when I started the first semester of my studies. My old laptop was probably enough for school, but it was definitely too old for studying - a new one was needed. I had long been impressed by the elegant design of MacBooks , but for me the price was far higher than that of 'normal' computers.
Then for my birthday I received a large package - it really had to be a laptop - and sure enough, when I removed the wrapping paper, I saw two repeating letters: hp, the logo of Hewlett-Packard, a renowned computer manufacturer. The joy was great, but it became even greater when I tore off the logo paper, because a 13" Apple MacBook was revealed underneath! My family had screwed me over and with complete success. I spent the rest of the birthday installing software , copying data and discovering apps.
Since then, I have used the MacBook for several hours every day and have never had any problems with it. I don't want to jinx it, but so far there has been no virus attacks (almost unlikely with Apple computers anyway), no crashes, no data loss. The handling is super easy and intuitive, like the iPhone, iPod and all other i...-s too. That's also the main reason for me not to use Android: I already know my way around the Apple world and I didn't have to read up or research it to be able to deal with it.
