My subjects are German studies and art history.
Does your blog have anything to do with your studies?
No, my blog has nothing to do with my studies. I only write about my hobby and see it as a creative balance to my studies.
What are your favorite topics to blog about?
Cakes, tarts, cupcakes, cookies and everything sweet. My blog is for those with a sweet tooth who like to spill dough and are looking for new recipes.
How long has your blog been around?
My blog has been running for about 1.5 years now.
Why did you start blogging?
I started because I had been following a few baking blogs myself and thought “Hey, you can do that too!” At first I saw the blog more as my digital recipe book.
How much time does blogging take?
That all depends. I usually only post one article a week. Of course, I need the most time for baking.
Do you think that your blog will help you advance your career?
I was really surprised at how many connections you can make through blogging. I don't know whether this will help me further professionally, but it definitely opens up new opportunities. For example, blogging led to a collaboration with a magazine. I now work there as a guest blogger and publish articles.
Do you think you'll continue blogging after you graduate?
I hope so. Of course, you never know if you don't have enough time or if you lose interest in it. I'll just keep doing it as long as I'm having fun.
