Summer – that doesn’t just mean hot weather, longer days and beach holidays, but endless festivals! In the most beautiful time of the year, like-minded people who want to enjoy great music as a community gather there. Now some events are already over and for others, like Tomorrowland, it is almost impossible to get tickets. It's good that we've put together a small, fine list of festivals for which you can still buy tickets for this occasion.
1st Holi Festival of Colors in Berlin (07/22/2017)
Towards the end of July, the brightly colored Color Festival spectacle will also make a stop in Berlin on its tour of Germany, more precisely in the Reiterstadion at the Olympic Park. To electronic music, the dancers tear open packages full of colored powder, so that the air, landscape and people are colored brightly. The idea is based on the Indian festival of Holi, a spring festival in which all barriers are removed and people cover each other with colors. If the date in Berlin is too short notice or the location is too far away: The Holi Festival of Colors can be experienced in various German cities until the beginning of September, including Hamburg on August 5th. or in Munich on August 19th.
2. Nature One (05.08.2017)
If you're really into electric, you can't miss the Nature One festival, which takes place at the beginning of August at the Pydna rocket base in the Hunsrück, near Kastellaun. There you will mingle with 65,000 visitors who will enjoy the finest electronic beats with you. The festival is one of the largest in Europe and is run by the same organizers as Mayday.
3rd Chiemsee Summer (16-19.08.2017)
Great music, a fantastic mountain atmosphere, performance art and a crystal-clear lake – you can find all of this in Übersee, where the Chiemsee Summer festival takes place in mid-August. Headliners include Casper, Billy Talent and The Offspring, and generally a mix of hip hop, rock and electro music is offered, so there is something for everyone. The flexible ticket selection is also nice: Here you can choose between a day ticket, a ticket for two or the whole four days.
4. Sziget (09.-16.08.2017)
Not only Germany has great festivals to offer, but the events in the rest of Europe are also impressive - for example Sziget in the Hungarian capital Budapest. It takes place on the northernmost Danube island and features artists such as Kasabian, The Kills and Mando Diao. From rock to electro, everything that makes your party heart beat faster is represented and tickets start at just €65.
5th Flow Festival (August 11-13, 2017)
Last but not least is the Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland. An industrial site that has been converted into a cultural center serves as a festival area where, for example, Frank Ocean and Lana Del Rey perform. The special thing about this event is that the focus is not exclusively on the music - cuisine plays almost as important a role, as you can see from the sometimes unusual gourmet creations and countless street food variations.
