1. Independence Day: Return
According to ET, it is probably considered the alien film par excellence: Independence Day by disaster film master Roland Emmerich was already a hit in 1996. Now, 20 years after the global alien attack, the sequel Independence Day: Return is finally available on Blu-ray. In the film, 20 years have passed and aliens are once again trying to conquer the earth. A large part of the main cast from Part 1 is included, consisting of Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Vivica A. Fox. Hollywood high-flyer Liam Hemsworth takes on the role of Will Smith.
2. Legend of Tarzan
Anyone who was a fan of True Blood certainly remembers the good-looking Viking vampire Eric. However, actor Alexander Skarsgard has swapped this role for another and is now swinging his astral body through the tropical jungle of the Congo. However, the new edition of Tarzan does not focus on Tarzan's childhood, but on his life in England with his wife Jane. He is sent back to his former home as a special ambassador and falls into the trap of Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz once again plays a villain). Great entertainment film whose tropical ambience makes you forget that the weather outside is cloudy.
3. Fifty Shades of Gray
Prime members can enjoy watching the most anticipated film of 2015 for free and get in the mood for the second part, which will be released in cinemas on Valentine's Day 2017. Hardly anyone has not read Fifty Shades of Gray , the hot book of the same name by EL James, but what the novel may lack in style, the aesthetic film skillfully makes up for and the main actors are also impressive.
Series for binge watchers
If you have already sworn off films and become a die-hard series fan, we have a selection of three brand new formats that you will definitely like.
1. Game of Thrones Season 6
Yes, we admit it, there is a slim chance that there is anyone on the planet who hasn't seen the final season of the world's most successful series , Game of Thrones . But it was only recently released on Blu-ray and if you've been eagerly waiting for it, you can now look forward to it: In our opinion, the sixth season is even better than all the previous ones, especially the last two episodes will knock your socks off. Fire up the popcorn machine and prepare to immerse yourself in the world of Westeros for hours.
2. Startups
The brand new series Startup , which you can stream for free as an Amazon Prime member, looks extremely promising: Protagonist Izzy is developing a revolutionary app that could revolutionize the financial market. However, in order to realize the project, she doesn't always use legal means and the FBI is soon on her heels. Hobbit Martin Freeman takes on the role of investigator and OC California veteran Adam Brody is also on board.
3. Goliath
Last but not least, another free Prime hit that is now available to watch: In Goliath, Billy Bob Thornton plays a formerly successful lawyer who now spends more time in a bar than in court. But he gets involved in another case and it's tough: During the trial he uncovers a conspiracy that amounts to a fight for life and death.
Music for a good mood
Music suggestions are probably the hardest to make, because there is hardly any field in which tastes drift so far apart. We still gave it a try and have two tips for you, which we chose primarily because of the good mood factor.
1. Robbie Williams – The Heavy Entertainment Show
Robbie Williams is back after a long break with his new album The Heavy Entertainment Show and shows that he still knows how to entertain musically. With his varied numbers he delights both long-established Robbie fans and newcomers who were less familiar with his previous hits. It's worth a listen!
2. Kungs – Layers
Kungs delivered summer flair with the feel-good song This Girl, where everyone turns up the radio and immediately creates a positive mood. The album Layers , on which the hit can be found, has a few more songs to offer that maintain this great atmosphere. Just listen and drive away bad thoughts and tiredness with light dance floor music.
