Turn your hobby into a career, or into a blog. That's exactly what the two friends Sarah (26) and Bianca (25) did in April 2014: Since then, they no longer just chat about fashion, cakes, food, travel, photography and everything else that concerns them when they meet together, but do it this also virtually on their joint blog Schwarz mit Heels .
As befits two true bloggers, Sarah, a student teacher, and Bianca, a trained educator, met on the Internet over three years ago and quickly realized that they were also on the same wavelength in the real world and had common interests, hobbies, and so on have a preference for black shoes with heels. When it came to giving her blog a name, the decision was quickly made on black with heels .
Sarah and Bianca's blog is maintained and filled with a lot of love. The two bloggers put their hearts into it and take a lot of time to make the individual entries as beautiful as possible, take attractive pictures, write well-rounded texts and give each entry a personal touch. On the one hand, this is very time-consuming and sometimes leads to people around them assuming that they only prepare food, clothes, etc. for the blog: that they lead an online fake life ! Bianca thinks that the accusation is not always completely unjustified, but she doesn't think that it causes her to lose sight of the real world: "On the contrary - Instagram has even helped me to live or perceive some things more consciously. I pay even more attention to “the beautiful things in life” and when I take a photo of my perfectly frothed coffee with milk in the morning, I’m happy to have that moment and be able to enjoy the coffee right away.”
All in all, the two invest a lot of time in their blog, which requires student Sarah in particular to have multitasking skills at the highest level: “Exam periods and part-time jobs take up a lot of time. However, I plan to plan a fixed afternoon a week for the next semester that will only be available to the blog.” Ultimately, both the blog and her German and work studies studies at the FU and TU Berlin should not be neglected come, and a good schedule can certainly help.
Giving up her blog or her studies is out of the question for Sarah. She wanted to become a teacher when she was still at school, but since her high school diploma wasn't particularly good, she first had to wait a few semesters during her training. She is now in her fourth semester at university and feels like she has arrived. And she simply enjoys the blog too much to stop: “I get a lot of encouragement and am always happy when I notice that friends are regularly on the blog.”
And after all, why should good organizational skills be worthwhile if not for the beautiful things in life: online and offline.
