“Start-up competition – digital innovations”

The “Start-up Competition – Digital Innovations” is an ideas competition run by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) that runs in two phases. In the first phase, ICT start-ups can apply with a short idea outline. All participants receive a written assessment of their start-up idea with regard to strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks. The top 50 in the first round have the opportunity to revise their concept in phase 2.
Ultimately, up to six start-up ideas will be honored with main prizes of 32,000 euros each. In addition, up to 15 additional start-up ideas will be awarded 7,000 euros each. Two rounds of competition take place every year.
