There are four universities in Berlin, and they all impress with their rank and name, both nationally and internationally. In total, over 100,000 students from all over the world meet in this way at the major universities in the German capital - the Free University of Berlin, the Humboldt University of Berlin, the Technical University of Berlin and the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
free University
At the Free University, scientific studies have top priority and combine a wide range of possible study programs: humanities and social sciences are just as popular here as natural sciences or medicine. The central institutes for North and Latin America and Eastern Europe are unique in the country and students who are interested in less popular subjects such as Jewish studies are also warmly welcome at the Free University.
Humboldt University of Berlin
Founded over 200 years ago, the Humboldt University has had a number of years under its belt during which it has been able to make an international name for itself. Humanities and social scientists, but also human medicine specialists, agricultural scientists and visitors to the mathematical and scientific institutes gather under the roofs of the faculties of this Berlin university - a colorful mix and broad diversity that generally characterizes Berlin.

Charité - University Medicine Berlin
This Berlin university is supported equally by the Free University and the Humboldt University of Berlin. The core of research and teaching is the Medical Faculty and the University Hospital.
