EMBA is offering a new course in fashion and design for the winter semester
Hamburg, June 2013 – Fashion and design products are an expression of your own personality. With their current trends and innovations, these areas form an internationally sustainably growing economic factor. The European Media and Business Academy (EMBA) is now training the trend managers of tomorrow. For the winter semester 2013/2014, the fashion, trend and brand management course will be offered for the first time at the three locations in Berlin, Hamburg and Düsseldorf.
Today, branded goods are determined globally by diverse lifestyles and worlds of experience. Fashion brands are no longer just product names for textiles, but global “brands” that convey zeitgeist around the globe. “The targeted training of management specialists for this flourishing industry is becoming all the more important,” says EMBA Managing Director Thomas Dittrich. The Fashion, Trend and Brand Management course is part of the Bachelor's degree program in Business Management at the EMBA. It combines the advantages of a private, practical course of study with a state university degree.
Product and brand managers link accessories such as bags, glasses and cosmetics and textile products with an attitude to life. Design products, furniture and accessories are lifestyle symbols in today's society. Strategic brand management, issuing licenses and identifying new trends are becoming more important for the fashion and design industries and are opening up exciting, new job profiles. Studying at the EMBA offers the ideal basis for future-oriented activities in the management and marketing of brand providers. Career prospects lie primarily in brand, product, sales or brand management within the fashion industry or with manufacturers of branded goods.
The EMBA course in Fashion, Trend and Brand Management is divided into compact teaching modules. The exams and examinations directly follow the individual modules of the course. This avoids a concentration of exams at the end of the semester and ensures optimal exam preparation. The specialization in the area of fashion, trend and brand management takes place through the modules fashion and society, international fashion business, trend management, market launch as well as brand communication and brand campaigns.
The Bachelor's degree program in Business Management is offered by the EMBA in cooperation with the study partner AMAK AG at the Mittweida State University. The Bachelor of Arts awarded by Mittweida University of Applied Sciences after successful studies is accredited in accordance with the international Bologna guidelines of the European science ministers. Students acquire user-oriented and practical business knowledge and skills in the areas of management and marketing.
International market conditions are becoming increasingly complex. The course therefore meets the requirements of market-oriented business management, with a focus on marketing management. The international bachelor's degree is considered a qualification that qualifies for a career. After completing a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and then a doctorate are possible.
Students at the EMBA combine the advantages of private study with the privilege of graduating from a state university. The course is characterized by groups of a maximum of 20 students, intensive support from industry-experienced lecturers and guest lecturers, practical phases lasting several weeks and various free additional offers such as a MacBook Pro, soft skill seminars, language courses or networking activities.
