Marlene Meyer studied industrial engineering at the University of Bremen. She is currently completing a trainee program at Melitta with a focus on sales.
»I wanted my career start as an industrial engineer to be exciting and varied. In the Melitta trainee program with a focus on sales, I have the opportunity to get to know different specialist and company areas at home and abroad in five stations. That sounded interesting and challenging to me and I applied straight away. I've already completed two stations and can say, looking back, that although I had to take a few leaps into the deep end, I've already learned a lot and experienced a lot of new things. I was in field service, for example. B. used in Freiburg, Frankfurt and Essen. Creating offers for customers, creating orders, accompanying sales discussions – I really like the mix of independent activities and team work. The technical aspects – that is, finding out more about the different functions and advantages of our coffee machines – are of course really interesting for me as an industrial engineer. This year I'm particularly looking forward to my stay abroad, where I'll get to know a whole new Melitta culture for three months. After 18 months of the trainee program, a permanent position as a key account manager at Melitta awaits.«
