Julia Wagner studied geography at the University of Bamberg. Your Expansion trainee program at Netto has just ended successfully. So successful that she now works as area manager for expansion and is responsible for the Augsburg to Ingolstadt region.
»I was lucky enough to start working on expansion at Netto as a fresh graduate. A great way to start straight from university, to gradually get to know the different departments in the company and to be introduced step by step to your future areas of responsibility. My 24 months of trainee program were very practice-oriented and multifaceted. Anything but formula F. My colleagues included me and gave me great support right from the start. I was able to accompany them early on in the field sales in acquiring new locations and supporting our existing branches - be it checking possible locations, negotiating rental agreements or planning renovations. I got a feel for the holistic processes because I had the chance to experience project developments up close, from the acquisition of land to the completion of the Netto markets. What I love most about my job is that I can work independently and travel a lot. I'm drawn to the region, to the people. After completing my trainee program, from May 2016 onwards, I will be the area manager for expansion at Netto, independently acquiring and developing new locations in my region and managing around 80 existing branches. I am looking forward to that."
