The third year of the UdK Berlin drama shows “Death and Resurrection of the World of My Parents Within Me” by Nis-Momme Stockmann
Nis-Momme Stockmann, a graduate of the scenic writing course at the UdK Berlin and a shooting star in the young dramatist scene, takes to the field against capitalism with a 350-page theater text and with him his protagonist, a banker who is determined to do anything and has a suitcase full of money . Its goal: to collapse the system through hyperinflation. But along the way, it's not just his demanding wife and a chorus of averagely informed EU citizens that get in his way, but increasingly the question: How can we resist a system in which we are all much more involved than our quick protest stance suggests?
Students at the UdK Berlin are struggling to reposition themselves: What can political resistance look like in the face of an economic theory and practice that knows how to take over every protest?

Hermann Schmidt-Rahmer worked at theaters in Düsseldorf, Bochum, Munich and Berlin. Since 2010 he has been a professor of scene in the acting course at the UdK Berlin.
The focus of his production work is the questioning of dramatic models on contemporary themes. Recent works were Jelinek /“Rechnitz” in Düsseldorf, “Clockwork Orange/ Lecture Performance” in Essen on the subject of brain research, “Shoot / Get Treasure / Repeat” in Wiesbaden on the subject of security policy, “Long bet ONe” on artificial intelligence with students from the UdK at the Hebbel Theater Berlin.
