Tipps für Alleinreisende: Pack deinen Koffer und mach dich auf in die große, weite Welt

Tips for solo travelers: Pack your suitcase and head out into the big, wide world

Many people know the problem: You work, save for a student flight, and want to use it to explore new continents and experience foreign cultures. But there is a small problem: no one is there to accompany you! The boyfriend/girlfriend has to work when you can or you are single and none of your friends have the time, inclination or the necessary change.

Your only option is to stay at home. Wrong thought! How about a trip all alone? We'll tell you our tips to make your solo trip a hit .

At the beginning the motto is: take small steps

If you're setting off alone for the first time, you should start with small trips - it doesn't have to be a three-month tour through South America. How about a weekend trip to Prague or a student flight around England for a week with a group?

It's best to start with a European country where the cultures don't differ too much. Or you can fly on a cheap student flight to countries such as Australia, where there are already many solo travelers.

How do I start my trip?

The best thing to do is pack your bag and just jump in and buy a train, bus or student plane ticket . Make a rough plan of what you want to do. If you don't want to travel completely alone, how about a travel group, e.g. B. during a language trip ? So you're not completely on your own, but you're still on your own when you want time alone.

Safety first – so you don’t have to worry about getting lost

Of course, traveling alone is also scary - after all, you don't have anyone by your side. It's best to let relatives or friends know when you will be where with a short message.

You should also avoid overly strict planning - spend the first few days (on longer trips) getting used to the new country. This is how you learn to correctly assess new people and situations. Then the student flight wasn't free.

I'm not afraid, but the loneliness - what to do?

Are you not used to being alone and are you afraid of becoming lonely? Don't worry - there's no harm in just concentrating on yourself. Of course, interpersonal relationships are absolutely important, but just getting along makes you more confident, self-sufficient and independent.

Again and again student flights, student flights – where are these much-mentioned student flights? Of course at STA Travel - so click in and secure cheap student flights with allmaxx!
