First of all: As is well known, the cafeteria is not called a gourmet restaurant. You've probably already noticed this when you stormed into the cafeteria while studying in Munich with a huge hunger and a delicious rump steak in front of your eyes - and then the bitter disillusionment came. It doesn't have to be like this everywhere! We'll tell you here where you can fill your stomach with delicious food.
Arcis street
Immediate proximity to the TU, cheap food - that says it all, right? Admittedly, the food isn't absolutely amazing, but it fills you up, it's cheap and, above all, this cafeteria is the venue for numerous TU parties while you're studying - so it's definitely a reason to stop by here every now and then!
StuBistro Vorhoelzer Center
Not exactly a cafeteria, but a real insider tip when studying in Munich: The StuBistro in the Vorhoelzer Zentrum, top floor of the TU faculty on Arcisstrasse. Here you can enjoy a delicious snack, coffee or cake with a wonderful view over the city - panoramic views guaranteed! It's a bit more expensive, but it's definitely worth it!!
Leopoldstrasse
So it couldn't be cheaper! When studying in Munich, you don't have to waste a ton of money just to sneak back to lectures well-fed. A simple plate of spaghetti only costs 1 euro. If you want to spend a lot of money here, you still won't get more than 2.40 euros! How cool is that?
And the LMU is really just a stone's throw away!
TU cafeteria in Garching
For all TUers: Here, too, there is a suitable cafeteria for you to fill your stomach and keep fit. The cheapest dish here only costs 1 euro. If you want to do credit to studying in Munich and want to spend a little more, you will still only have to shell out around 4 euros and will be perfectly full.
Canteen in the Ministry of Finance
A real insider tip! That's why it's not quite as crowded here as in many other canteens. Studying in Munich also has its price: a very small one that is easy on the student's wallet. The atmosphere is also very quiet and friendly, and you don't have to walk far: the canteen is located near Odeonsplatz. At least you can walk while studying in Munich!
