Types of studies
Full-time study is just one way to fulfill your desire to study in Germany, but there are other types of study to help you get closer to your career goal.
Full-time study
A full-time course, as the name suggests, is a course of study that keeps you busy full time. This means that you will usually have to complete a daily (full) amount of study work, regardless of whether it is a lecture, seminar, exercise or self-study.
Distance learning
Distance learning allows you to complete your studies at home with your own time. This is therefore not a face-to-face course of study. This means that, for example, you can have a regular (part-time) job and complete your studies “on the side”. The advantage here is clearly your individual division of the study effort, but a big disadvantage: If you cannot motivate yourself to follow the teaching material while working from home, your studies can also become long-term torture. Self-motivation is therefore required.
Evening study
If you go to work during the day and are too undisciplined for distance learning, there is still the option of studying in the evening. This means: You go about your job obligations during the day and go to the university in the evening to attend a few study events.
