Attention young scientists: The German Study Prize is entering a new round!

The Körber Foundation is currently looking for the best scientific dissertations that have a particularly valuable social significance. If you think your innovative research contribution has what it takes, don't hesitate and join in! The social interest of your research subject can consist of a specific application, such as an innovative legal proposal or a newly developed medical therapy. Research papers that provide orientation knowledge are also welcome.

What does the German Study Prize offer you?

The German Study Prize is aimed at all disciplines and prizes are awarded in three categories: humanities , social sciences and natural and technical sciences . The patron of the competition is our Bundestag President Norbert Lammert. A total of over 100,000 euros will be distributed and the best in their field will each receive 25,000 euros. The German Study Prize is therefore the most promising award for a young scientist. In addition, the German Study Prize enables the prize winner to present their research results to a broad audience beyond the boundaries of scientific circles through their own publications and events . Well, if it's not worth it, right?

Apply – Here’s how it works!

You must have received a doctorate with magna or summa cum laude in an academic discipline; your age does not matter. You should present your most important research results from your dissertation and their enormous social significance in a captivating and clear way using a maximum of 40,000 characters. Doctoral candidates who completed their dissertation in 2014 can apply until March 1, 2015 . You can find out more information and the detailed conditions of participation here . So if you finished 2014 with a mercilessly good result and the world needs to know about your research work, then take advantage of your chance and apply for the most highly endowed young academic award in the Federal Republic!
