On the 25th/26th In January 2018, the master's program in sports management at the SRH University in Heidelberg will be traveling to the most important international sports organizations in the world as part of the annual Switzerland excursion.
This year the following highlights are on the program:
FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association)
IOC (International Olympic Committee)
CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport)
There are still places available for this excursion. That's why Heidelberg University is opening this exciting excursion to external students who are fascinated by management in sports.
The excursion starts on Thursday, January 25th at 8:30 a.m. at SRH University Heidelberg. It is scheduled for an overnight stay in Switzerland until late in the evening on January 26th. Each student has to pay a participation fee of €50 for the transfer and overnight stay.
Applications are possible by email to Jochen Schwind until January 3, 2018. In addition to a profile (course of study, semester, university, favorite sport and favorite club/athlete), applicants must also submit a 1-2 page letter of motivation on the following topic:
Why is the professional field of sports management so fascinating for me?
Applicants can expect final feedback regarding participation by January 5th at the latest.

Information about the Master Sport Management course
In 2007, the SRH University of Heidelberg established the first master's degree program in sports management in Germany. The course puts students in “pole position” for a career in the sports business. The master's program focuses on management in professional sports. Therefore, the focus is on organizational characteristics in sport, sports marketing, finance in sport as well as leadership and general management. Applications for the course are possible at any time. The course starts in April and October each year.
