Under the motto “Tasty, cheap and fast” we want to cook with you every two weeks.
Nothing will replace the cheerful atmosphere of a Christmas market. The mulled wine tastes particularly good there. To bring the flair into your living room at home we need the following ingredients:
3/4 liter of water
200 g dried plums
1/4 liter rum
2 lemons (juice)
250g sugar
2 sticks cinnamon
2 bags of black tea
5 cloves
1/2 liter freshly squeezed orange juice
Preparation:
1. Bring the water and dried plums to the boil briefly
2. Add the tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes
3. Remove tea bags
4. Mix all liquid (mixer or blender)
5. Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves
6. Add the remaining ingredients as well
7. Don't bring it to the boil anymore, just warm it over a low heat
Chef's tip: the Christmas cookies from our last “cooking evening” would go perfectly with this!
Mulled wine should be heated carefully. When boiling too much, too much alcohol evaporates and the taste can change negatively.
Bon appetite!
