Pop art in bottle shape: That's exactly what the new limited edition from Absolut is. Inspired by the iconic bottle, Andy Warhol became the first artist to capture Absolut in a piece of art for eternity in 1986. This was the start of a series of sensational artist collaborations, including with Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Louise Bougeois and Annie Leibovitz. With the Andy Warhol Edition, Absolut transforms the Pop Art painting into a bottle shape. Since October 2014, around four million bottles have been available in retail stores worldwide.
Not only are the Absolut bottles from the Warhol Edition popular collector's items, but above all the paintings by probably the most influential American modern artist. It is precisely for this reason that Absolut is organizing the Art Exchange in connection with the Andy Warhol Edition until the end of December. Hobby and professional artists from all over the world can take part, based on Warhol's motto: Pop Art is for everyone. The main prize is an original Polaroid by Andy Warhol. Participating in the campaign is very simple, simply upload your own work of art here , receive the work digitally from another participant and share it with your friends and acquaintances. And with a bit of luck, become the proud owner of your own Warhol.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the limited bottles go to the Andy Warhol Foundation in New York, which promotes the creation and development of contemporary fine art.
