With Rock Your Life! Volunteering is made easy
“I think it's great that an idea and conviction can become something so big. I really enjoy working with all these committed people and seeing what you can achieve!” When 21-year-old psychology student Myoung-Ha talks like this, she raves about her voluntary work. In addition to her studies, the Berlin native volunteers with the Rock Your Life! initiative.
The principle of Rock Your Life is simple: for two years, a student accompanies a student on their path to professional life. He helps with the search for an internship or training position, studies with them for class work, or simply supports the student with advice and support. The student becomes a coach for the student and sometimes also a friend. He also actively advocates for more equal opportunities and educational equality.
In addition to Myoung-Ha, many other students are involved in the 35 locations of Rock Your Life! throughout Germany. Since it was founded in 2009, more than 1,000 coaching relationships have been arranged. From which not only the pupils in charge but also the students benefit and, at the same time, they also actively campaign for more opportunities and educational equality.
A real child's play!
Win-win situation: students support students as coaches and thereby expand their practical skills for starting their careers.
