Award ceremony at women&work in Frankfurt
(Bonn, March 1, 2019) "If it didn't already exist, we would have to invent the Women Inventor Award. Because it is high time to recognize the creative contribution of women in the economy - a contribution that no modern industrial society can do without. " This is what Tarek Al-Wazir, the Hessian Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing, says in his greeting to the women&work Inventor Award, which is now entering the next round. From now on, women with ideas, inventions and innovations can apply again. The application deadline ends on April 10th. The award ceremony will take place on May 4th at women&work, Europe's leading trade fair for women and careers. Further information is available at www.Erfinderinnenpreis.de .
The women&work inventor award will be presented for the third time this year. Women are honored by a jury for their innovative ideas and groundbreaking inventions. “The women&work inventor award is very important because the landscape of inventors is still male-dominated. “It is far too little known that women make a decisive contribution to innovatively shaping the future and often find fascinating solutions to give digitalization a social component,” says Melanie Vogel, initiator of the Women Inventors Award.
Application by April 10th
Women aged 18 and over who have developed an invention in Germany and/or registered it with the German Patent and Trademark Office or the European Patent Office can now apply. Can participate:
- Private individuals (solo inventors)
- Women entrepreneurs
- Female team members from research or development teams
- Startup founders
The women&work inventor prize is awarded in four categories:
- TECHNOLOGY
- SERVICE & SOCIAL
- BUSINESS MODEL & ORGANIZATION
- Special prize HUMANISM 4.0
“I hope that the women&work Inventor Award encourages more women to bring their ideas and products onto the market - because our economy can only benefit from this,” Al-Wazir is certain.
