As a student, you are very aware of how massively digitalization is progressing: without it, studying, and actually life, hardly seems possible anymore. Data becomes resource no. 1, but the issue of sustainability should not be ignored in this context.
At the WFI - Ingolstadt School of Management, the student organization DenkNachhaltig eV deals with the connection between these two topics, discussing questions such as: To what extent are digitalization and sustainability compatible? Where are the opportunities and risks for a better world?
As part of this, this year's WFi Dialogue on Sustainability - the largest student conference on the topic of sustainability in Germany - is dealing with exactly this topic: Digitalization meets sustainability . We have summarized for you what exactly is on offer at this meeting and how you can take part.
For two days, exchange ideas, make contacts and develop concepts
At this conference, 120 students and doctoral students from various fields of study meet and discuss the topic of digitalization and sustainability together with well-known personalities from politics, business, science and religion. One of the central areas of discussion is the question of how sustainable thinking and economic action can be combined. The aim of the dialogue is to find solution-oriented approaches and to make contacts.
Topics include “Dematerialization – The redistribution of the world in times of digital Darwinism”, “Fintech – The digital (r)evolution in the financial sector”, etc., and there are also panel discussions with professors, managing directors and company founders. Workshops are also offered, such as “Green IT and green electricity”. In any case, a very extensive program is waiting for you!
The WFI Dialogue will take place from 20-22. November 2015 on the beautiful campus of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ingolstadt-Eichstätt , you can still apply until October 31st.
