Save the date: campus – The young talent competition in the year of advertising 2014
On August 19, 2013, the Year of Advertising starts the new campus youth competition (deadline for entries is October 31, 2013). We are looking for outstanding, courageous and unexpectedly creative university theses. Participation in the competition is free of charge. The winners will be invited to the official awards ceremony in Berlin in February 2014, including travel and accommodation. There the young talents have the opportunity to present their work to professionals in the industry. The work will also be published free of charge in the book on the Year of Advertising 2014 and on the website. “With campus we are looking for the best talents to emerge at the universities. We want to have the best work judged and awarded by a competent jury from a professional perspective,” explains Thomas Rempen, co-editor of The Year of Advertising, the goals of the competition. Together with his editorial colleagues Anette Scholz and Peter Wippermann, Rempen will lead the jury.
Anyone interested can keep up to date with current information by email/registration at www.campus.jdw.de or on Facebook ( The Young Talent Competition in the Year of Advertising 2014 ). The submitted works will be evaluated by a top-class jury consisting of experienced communications professionals from companies, agencies and the media. Creative and stimulating ideas count regardless of how the university evaluates them. Work from bachelor's, master's and diploma graduates from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are permitted. They must come from the areas of communication design, media design and advertising and must not have been submitted to the examination board before July 31, 2012.

The Year of Advertising is a project of the Econ Forum at Econ Verlag. In 1964, the first volume of the book series was published - at that time under the title “Advertising in Germany – Yearbook of German Advertising”. The 50th volume was published in 2013. Econ Verlag is part of Ullstein Buchverlage GmbH.
