ERASMUS scholarship for stays abroad
Every student is probably familiar with ERASMUS, because an incredible number of academics spend a semester abroad at an international university and thereby save on tuition fees. ERASMUS also awards scholarships, also known as mobility grants, which are funded by the European Commission. The funding amount is between €195 and €315 per month. Requirements for the ERASMUS scholarship are:
- Citizenship of one of the countries participating in ERASMUS
- Enrollment at a university and successful completion of the first two semesters
- ERASMUS application as the first application
- Proof of sufficient language skills

DAAD scholarship for your studies abroad
The German Academic Exchange Service, or DAAD for short, was founded in 1925 as a result of a student initiative and has since supported almost two million academics. It is considered Germany's most important scholarship provider - accordingly, it offers a diverse range of scholarships with equally different requirements. Both annual scholarships, which are aimed at students and doctoral students, as well as short scholarships for doctoral students are offered for studying abroad. There are also special scholarships for selected bachelor's and master's programs.
Annual scholarship:
- For high-performing students who would like to complete an academic year of their studies abroad
- Students must be at least in the second semester
- Scholarship includes a monthly scholarship installment
- Tuition fees are covered
- Flat rate travel allowance included
- Costs for liability, accident and additional health insurance costs are covered
Short scholarship for doctoral students:
- Particularly suitable for stays in libraries and archives, series of experiments or field research
- The scholarship holders are selected based on previous academic achievements, final grades, scientific publications and existing language skills
- Tuition fees are not covered
- Scholarship includes a monthly scholarship installment
- Monthly flat rate for research and conference costs included
- Flat rate travel allowance included
