The Office for Managers in International Organizations (BFIO) advises managers and junior staff from a wide range of disciplines about entry and career opportunities at international organizations and is responsible for the implementation of the Junior Professional Officers/Associated Experts (JPO Program) on behalf of the Federal Government. The program, which is implemented under the leadership of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), provides the Federal Government with a successful and internationally recognized personnel policy instrument for promoting young talent in the context of the United Nations.
The federal government is currently advertising 27 JPO positions in 15 different international organizations, e.g. B. at the ILO in Geneva, at the FAO in Rome, the World Bank in Washington DC, the WHO in Copenhagen or at the UNCCD in Bonn.
HOW YOU CAN APPLY
Are you interested, have German citizenship, have a university degree and around two to four years of professional experience? Then you have already met the first requirements.
If you dealt with international or development policy issues during your studies and have already gained relevant professional experience abroad, you should apply.
The organizations in demand include graduates of law, social and political sciences, economics, engineering, agricultural sciences, nutritional sciences, administrative sciences, medicine and geography.
Fluent knowledge of English is also a prerequisite; A good basic knowledge of another UN official language is often expected.
