MINT and “simple” – does that go together? If the federal government has its way, then yes. Because she constantly advocates for even more young MINT talent. The topic goes up and down in the media. Only recently has the lack of teachers in the STEM subjects been lamented. Mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology are subjects that most of us have struggled through in our school days. It's no wonder that other courses become significantly more popular later in the choice of course. It would be so much easier with MINT funding .
The country needs MINT women!
Take yourself back to your school days: those who got top grades in STEM subjects were somehow often boys. Now, for example, sit down for a lecture in mechanical engineering. And? "Checked shirt and seed jam - I'm studying mechanical engineering" ;) A little joke on the side. No matter whether with or without MINT funding... In any case, not every mechanical engineering student wears a checked shirt, but most students in engineering courses are men. But the good news is that more female students are studying a subject in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences or technology than ever before. In 2012, one in four new students opted for one of the MINT subjects, even without MINT funding. The bottom line, however, is that female employment growth remains below average.
Excellent future prospects for MINT students
What many female students don't know is the fact that careers in the MINT sector are among the most promising and that the career opportunities are particularly good for women. In times of saturated markets, this is one more reason to choose the MINT industry. While female applicants, for example, fight for a marketing job in a fashion company, female students in a company in the railway industry have significantly less competition. It sounds less attractive at first thought, but that changes when you look at the bank statement - even more so with MINT funding! If you want to work at a university, you also have excellent qualifications as a MINT graduate. Scientific talent is increasingly being sought. We are also desperately looking for doctoral candidates. Sounds good, right?
Study more easily with MINT funding
However, the first question that arises is how female students manage their MINT studies and complete them successfully. MINT funding would be the solution! It's not just about helping students financially. Good scholarships, such as the MINT Excellence scholarship program , guarantee their scholarship holders MINT funding in the form of financial support on the one hand, and on the other hand the scholarship holders are included in an exclusive network. The participants make valuable contacts with decision-makers from business, science and associations. In the MINT Excellence Network you can also take part in relevant events and specialist events, such as workshops. With MINT funding you increase your career chances per se. Men are also accepted into the MINT Excellence scholarship program - just for your information ;) You can still apply until April 15, 2015 - take advantage of your chance for excellent MINT funding!
Has it never been so easy for a woman to pursue a career in STEM subjects? We have dealt with this and are presenting you with support that will help you complete your MINT studies with ease.
