The story
August “Auggie” Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) is ten years old. He is funny, smart and generous. He has humorous parents (Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson) and a fantastic big sister. But Auggie is an outsider: a rare genetic defect has disfigured his face. “Whatever you imagine, it’s worse,” he wrote in his diary. Until now he was educated at home and preferred to hide his face under an astronaut's helmet, but now he will attend a regular school class. After initial skepticism, Auggie gathers all his courage and decides to face the adventures that life has in store for such an extraordinary boy like him...
