There are probably only a few people to whom LORD OF THE RINGS doesn't mean anything - the saga about the hobbit Frodo, who sets out to destroy the One Ring, is still one of the most read books today and has become accessible to many more thanks to the film adaptation. But few people know the biography of the author JRR Tolkien, which will soon be in the cinema. At the start of TOLKIEN on June 20th, we are giving away a total of two free tickets and a poster. The story
TOLKIEN chronicles the visionary author's formative years as he finds friendship, courage and inspiration among a community of like-minded people at his school. Together they experience love and loss, from Tolkien's turbulent courtship of his great love and muse Edith Bratt, to the outbreak of the First World War, which threatens to tear the "Companions" apart. All of these experiences inspired Tolkien to write his world-famous Middle-earth novels.
