The story
Nini (Flora Li Thiemann) and Jameelah (Emily Kusche), 14 years old and friends since childhood, are on the verge of starting life and yet are actually already in the middle of it. Nini, the German, and Jameelah with the Iraqi passport and the burning desire to become German. They are inseparable and invincible, go to school together, rebel sometimes more and sometimes less and mix their favorite drink in the toilet during break: TIGER MILK, a delicious mixture of milk, passion fruit juice and Mariacron. A decision on Jameelah and her mother's (Narges Rashidi) naturalization application will be made in the next few weeks. But first it's summer in Berlin and the holidays are about to start. The girls roam the city, fall in love in the outdoor pool and play cracking words: night shift/naked shift, air raid protection/lust protection. “It” is supposed to happen this summer and they are practicing for an emergency “on the Kurfürsten”, where the professionals are. One night when they perform a love spell in the settlement's playground, they witness a murder. And suddenly everything comes to a standstill - her plans, her future, her life.
