The story
After months pass without her daughter's murderer being identified, Mildred Hayes (Oscar® winner Frances McDormand, FARGO) takes a high-profile action. She paints three billboards at the entrance to the city with provocative slogans addressed to the city's police chief, the Honorable William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson, THE HUNGER TRIBUTES), in order to force him to take charge of the case. When Deputy Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), a mama's boy with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the conflict between Mildred and the law enforcement officers of the sleepy town only worsens.
