Where will the “unproductive” citizens be forcibly relocated?
The story
In the not-distant future, large parts of the United States have become uninhabitable due to war and climate change. Since supplies for the population are no longer guaranteed, the government sets up the Humanity Bureau. Their agents ruthlessly decide which citizens should be forcibly relocated to “New Eden” due to lack of productivity. One of the most reliable agents is Noah (Nicolas Cage), he handles each of his “cases” conscientiously and his promotion is imminent. But then he meets Rachel and her son Lucas and his orderly view of the world is shaken: What is “New Eden” really?
