The story
A new professional challenge in China becomes a nightmare for veteran and former FBI chief of operations Will Sawyer (Dwayne Johnson), who is tasked with providing security at The Pearl, the 240-story tallest skyscraper in the world. As soon as Will has taken office, a catastrophe occurs: the 96th floor is suddenly in flames, and his family, along with hundreds of other people, are trapped on the floors above, with no realistic chance of rescue. To his horror, he is also accused of starting the fire himself! Sawyer desperately tries to find the arsonists, save his family from the blazing inferno and prove his innocence.
