In Philipp Hirsch's feature film debut RAUS, the name of the film says it all: its protagonists want to get out! They want to get out into nature and out of their current lives, they want to break out of the run-down civilization. For the cinema release of RAUS on January 17th, we are giving away a total of two outdoor packages , each consisting of a poster and the book “Bushcraft 101 – Survival in the Wilderness” . The story
“Our world is screwed because the wrong people are in charge!” That’s Glocke’s (Matti Schmidt-Schaller) view of things. At least for now. And maybe a little bit because he's not in charge at all. He tries to be an activist - against capitalism, against injustice in the world, for nature conservation and against animal testing. But he's actually interested in impressing a girl. This is also the case when he sets fire to a flashy luxury car... Unfortunately, Glocke is caught and filmed. He manages to escape, but his image is already in the media.
He spontaneously joins a group of strangers who have arranged to meet online. They follow the call of an unknown person who lives in the mountains and sees the way to the future in returning to nature. They all want to make the world a better place and yet they carry a secret with them, they want to leave their past behind them and break out of the system. That is their goal. First, the young rebels Glocke, Judith (Milena Tscharntke), Steffi (Matilda Merkel), Elias (Tom Gronau) and Paule (Enno Trebs) experience days of freedom and happiness. But then the tide turns...
