The story
Princess Twilight Sparkle is in the middle of preparing for a great festival of friendship when the powerful Storm King and his sidekick Tempest Shadow invade Ponyville with their troops. The dark ruler wants to rob the princesses of Equestria of their magical abilities in order to finally be able to rule the entire world. Of course Twilight Sparkle can't allow that! She escapes with the ponies Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy as well as the unicorn Rarity. With Tempest Shadow always close on their heels, Twilight & Co. have to go through numerous adventures and learn some lessons before they can take up the fight for their home...
