Things are going well for gourmet chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) professionally, but even less so in his private life. His relationship with his wife (Sofia Vergara) has failed and he is also becoming increasingly distant from his son Percy (Emjay Anthony). Without further ado, Carl decides to quit his job in a gourmet restaurant in Los Angeles and travel through the American South with his son in a run-down food truck. In doing so, he not only gets closer to himself, but also to his family.
