The story
Driven by the thought that his violent grandfather is responsible for his sister's mysterious death, Iraq veteran Gabriel (26) returns to his humble home in rural New Mexico. Driven by the need to protect his family, he decides to kill his grandfather. But on the day of reckoning, his plan is thwarted. He is forced to spend a whole day with his grandfather. In deep conversations they find out that they both have similar traumatic war experiences in common. The more the father-son-like relationship between the two seems to be revived, the more difficult it becomes for Gabriel to put his plan into action.
