The actress Nora Tschirner didn't mince her words. When you talk to her, you get the feeling that she adds a wink to every sentence she says. With a very likeable and clever one. No matter whether she is talking about her studies, her career or her current film.
Your new film “Everything is Love” will be in cinemas at the beginning of December. What was it about the script that convinced you that you wanted to take part in it?
Well, you just have to look at who made the film and who is in it: Markus Goller, Heike Makatsch, Christian Ulmen and so on. I was also told that I could stand in the middle of the movie poster and wear a red coat
What is love for you?
As crazy as it sounds: probably just living. For me, everything that is meaningful in any way in life is connected with love. Be it to your favorite people or to a job that you do with passion. It always has to do with warmth, with a fire that is on. And with movement. Love is also movement. Life is unthinkable without love. Everything is love. Love is everything.
Is there something that people can always get you on a project with?
With a horse. That's just how it is. Put a horse on the set, whether with a carriage or for riding. That's it. Alternatively: a donkey. With EVERYTHING IS LOVE there was of course the matter of the gift.
You're dressed as a giant present in the film...
We had a phenomenal costume department anyway, but what they did with this gift package...! It was so great to play with and you looked fantastically absurd in it. Great fun.
How do you memorize texts?
I put the text on the tape and listen to it. But my voice annoys me relatively quickly and the whole thing gets stuck in my head as an avoidance tactic.
You started as a presenter at MTV when you were 20. Can you still remember your first day in front of the camera?
Not really. I know I was really excited because of all the important people. But not because of the camera. My father is a documentary filmmaker, so even as a child I got used to someone holding a camera in front of my nose.
Your career as an actress just happened that way; for example, you never went to drama school. Have you ever found that to be a disadvantage?
Not really. I applied once, but nothing came of it. I think everyone has to find their own way and so far I can't complain about mine.
What would you have done if acting hadn't worked out? For example, have you thought about studying?
Why did you choose this?
Mainly to broaden my own horizons. For example, I learned Arabic, but now don't ask me what this or that means in Arabic: I don't know anything anymore. Unfortunately I don't have enough practice
What do you remember from your studies?
What I remember most fondly is my study group: the “ladybirds”, 2 girls, 2 boys, we found the word very charming and funny in Arabic. We met and fell in love with each other on the first day of university. Our core competence was eating rice pudding in the cafeteria, but there are also successful presentations worth mentioning. Many greetings at this point.
