The story
Allan Karlsson (Robert Gustafsson) and his friend Julius Jonsson (Iwar Wiklander) have settled well into their lives in Bali. Allan is now an impressive 101 years old. But in the long run, even the most lazy person can't stand relaxing and sipping local soft drinks on the beautiful island. So the restless pensioner sets out on a new adventure in which he meets vengeful gangsters, the CIA and old acquaintances from Russia.
The successful team from the first part returns: Felix Herngren is directing again, this time together with his brother Måns Herngren. And leading actor Robert Gustafsson (“Conspiracy on the Berlin Express”) is back again as a cranky old man with a penchant for bombs and explosions. Of course, Iwar Wiklander (“Alfred”) and David Wiberg (“Sound of Noise”) should not be missing. Caroline Boulton (“The Gates of the World”) and Colin McFarlane (“The Dark Knight”) also star in roles. Felix Herngren, Hans Ingemansson and Jonas Jonasson wrote the script, which seamlessly follows the crazy story of Jonas Jonasson's successful novel “The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared”. Jonas Jonasson's debut novel was number 1 on the Spiegel bestseller list for 32 weeks.
