The story
Switzerland, 1971: Nora is a young housewife and mother who lives with her husband, two sons and grumpy father-in-law in a tranquil village in Appenzell. There is little trace of the social upheavals of the '68 movement here. However, the village and family order begins to shake when Nora begins to campaign for women's suffrage, which the men are supposed to vote on.
