The story
The financial genius Joe, who comes from a humble background, and his friend Dean found an investment company for elite, wealthy investors in trendy Los Angeles in 1983. Their high-risk concept works and they squander their lavish profits on a lavish lifestyle. But it soon turns out that their recipe for success is based on a shaky pyramid scheme, and that they themselves have been cheated by their suspicious main investor.
