The story
Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) has finally become a police inspector, but his former partner Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) is in the middle of a mid-life crisis and can't do much with his new partner. The former buddy cop duo has had nothing to say to each other for a long time and has gone their separate ways. When an Albanian mercenary shows up and hunts down Mike and Marcus, the ex-partners have to work together again against their will.

The Bad Boys are back: 25 years after BAD BOYS and 17 years after BAD BOYS II, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return for one last great ride in their signature roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. The tough cops from Miami work together one last time and fans can once again look forward to fast-paced action, wild chases and of course cool sayings. The eagerly awaited action comedy BAD BOYS FOR LIFE will be released in cinemas on January 16, 2020. In addition to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, new faces such as Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig and Charles Melton can be seen in other roles. But Joe Pantoliano also gives the bad boys hell again as their superior Captain Howard.
Will Smith
Will Smith is an actor, producer, musician, two-time Oscar® nominee and four-time Grammy Award winner. In short – an absolute superstar. Smith began his career as a rapper who sold millions of records worldwide before moving into television with the popular TV series “Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” Smith then had his screen breakthrough in 1995 with BAD BOYS – HARTE JUNGS, which laid the foundation for his outstanding global career.
Smith's extensive filmography also includes impressive portrayals of characters based on real-life characters in films such as ALI (2001), THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS (2006) and SHOCKING TRUTH (2015). He has also played the lead role in numerous hits, including INDEPENDENCE DAY (1996), MEN IN BLACK I, II and III (1997, 2002, 2012), BAD BOYS II (2003), I, ROBOT (2004), HITCH - DER DATE DOCTOR (2005), I AM LEGEND (2007), SUICIDE SQUAD (2016) and most recently GEMINI MAN (2019) and ALADDIN (2019).
Martin Lawrence
A key role in the success of the Bad Boys series lies in the great chemistry between the two main actors, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Lawrence began his career as a stand-up comedian at the legendary club The Improv, where he honed his talent until he moved into television. His TV show “Martin” was an absolute hit with viewers and it was here that he developed his distinctive ability to portray a wide variety of different characters.
In 1995 he made the leap to the big screen with BAD BOYS - HARTE JUNGS and was able to celebrate great successes afterwards, including BIG MAMMA'S HOUSE 1, 2 and 3 (2000, 2006, 2011) and of course BAD BOYS II (2003).
In BAD BOYS FOR LIFE he can now be seen again in his star role as Marcus Burnett.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens takes on the role of Kelly, a young police officer and member of the new AMMO team, a special unit of the Miami PD that uses new technologies.
Hudgens began her musical career at the tender age of eight. The recognition she received quickly brought her to the big screen. Her big breakthrough came with her role in the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL films (2006, 2007, 2008), for which she was also highly praised by critics.
Afterwards, Hudgens appeared in some more serious roles as well as on Broadway. Most recently, she took on a role in the Netflix production THE KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (2019), for which she also served as a producer.
Alexander Ludwig
Alexander Ludwig, who is best known from the successful series VIKINGS (since 2013), embodies another AMMO team member in BAD BOYS FOR LIFE: Dorn.
Dorn is the unit's technical expert and a deadly weapon in his own right. “Dorn has a history of violent use of his muscles and is therefore afraid of overdoing it,” Ludwig said of his role. “Now he prefers to sit in the van and work on the technical side, such as flying a drone or hacking alarm systems. He’s kind of the brains of the group, which is funny because he’s also the strongest.”
Charles Melton
Charles Melton is one of Hollywood's most versatile actors, consistently captivating audiences with his charismatic performances in film and television. He became known to a wide audience through the hit series RIVERDALE (since 2017), but can also be seen increasingly in Hollywood productions.
Melton's character Rafe is also part of the AMMO special forces unit and is a former DEA agent who tries to keep up with Mike Lowrey's wit and charm.
Joe Pantoliano
In a career spanning nearly five decades, Joe Pantoliano has appeared in numerous films and television, working with some of Hollywood's most respected filmmakers, including Christopher Nolan (MEMENTO), Steven Spielberg (THE GOONIES) and, of course, Michael Bay (BAD BOYS).
In addition to working on critically acclaimed feature films, Pantoliano's credits include the television series THE SOPRANOS (1999-2007), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award® for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
In BAD BOYS FOR LIFE he once again takes on the role of Captain Howard, who has to sort out the antics of his two detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett and, in doing so, give them hell time and time again in his incomparable way.
