The award-winning coming-of-age story AMELIE RENNT celebrated its world premiere during the Berlinale 2017 and was awarded, among other things, the GILDE Film Prize 2017 as “Best Children's Film” and three times with the GOLDEN SPATZ as “Best Feature Film”. The story
Amelie is 13, a real city brat and possibly the stubbornest girl in all of Berlin. Amelie doesn't let anyone tell her anything, especially not her parents, who send her to a special clinic in South Tyrol after a life-threatening asthma attack. Exactly what Amelie doesn't want. Instead of getting help, she runs away. She escapes where no one would expect her to go: uphill. In the middle of the Alps she meets a mysterious 15-year-old with the strange name Bart. When the uninvited companion saves her life, Amelie realizes that Bart is much more interesting than she initially thought. Together the two embark on an adventurous journey that is about hopeful miracles and true friendship.
